Directions:

By air:  You can fly light aircraft to Shobdon airfield which is about 4 miles from all of the White Heron Properties.  We can arrange a taxi you collect you from there.  We can arrange for helicopters to land very close to any of the White Heron Properties.

From the South East / London (about 2.5 - 3 hours by car):  M4, take exit 15 (Swindon) and then follow the A419 dual carriageway onto A417 Cirencester by-pass.  Follow signs for Gloucester and then take the Glucester Ring Road following signs for Ross-on-Wye (A40).  About 1/2 mile after the A417 mini round-about on the West side of Gloucester turn off the A40, onto the B4215, signed to Newent (this is a nasty right filter across a dual carriageway and is easily missed).  Watch out for the speed camera as you leave Highnam 30 mile zone.  As you approach Newent, turn right, staying on the B4215to Dymock.  Carry on along this road, straight across the round-about onto the A4172, through Much Marcle and straight across the staggered cross roads at Trumpet onto the A417.  Straight on until Hope-under-Dinmore on the A49, where you turn right towards Leominster.  After 1/4 mile, take 1st exit on round-about onto B4361, which you should follow into Leominster.  As you come in go left at first mini round-about (by Euphoria) and right on second (by Kwik Save) and then left at the traffic lights onto the A44 (Kington / Rhayader).  Stay on the A44 bearing left shortly after Safeways towards Monkland.  After about 4 miles you have to turn right to stay on the A44 (signed Rhayader and Pembridge).  Follow the A44 along through Pembridge and after about 3 miles you will see a green corrugated iron barn on the left on a nasty bend.  Turn right just past that (signed Whittern and Titley).  Then navigate to the specific property with the map above.

From the North and East (about 1 hour by car from M5 Jt. 5):  From the M5, take junction 5 (Droitwich) onto the A38 heading West.  There is about 2 miles of dual carriageway and then a round-about which you go straight across, back onto the dual carriageway.  After about 1 mile there is an exit (first one) which is very poorly signed to Omberdsley.  Take this exit, going onto the A4133.  At Holt Heath, you turn right onto the A443 towards Tenbury Wells.  The road turns into the A456 just outside Tenbury Wells and you should stay on it through Burford, Little Hereford, and on to Woofferton (Selway Arms) where it meets the A49.  This is a very nasty staggered junction but you want to go straight across.  Follow the B4362 to the T0junction where you turn left onto the B4361.  At Bircher, the road has a sharp right turn and becomes the B4362 again, which you stay on until Mortimer's Cross (where it crosses the A4110).  Go straight across, and through Shobdon village.  As you exit the village there is a small road bearing off to the left signed Lyonshall and Pembridge.  Go down here, passing Shobdon Airfield on your left.  After about 1 mile, you come to a crossroads. Go straight across.   After about 2 miles, you will see 2 roads to your right.  There is a square mirror opposite the second of these - take this right - the Sherriffs Lane.  Follow the map above, passing the Sherriffs on the right and Field Cottage and Gardeners Cottage on the left.
